01 The liturgical year

Know the day.
Enter the season.

Open Hodie to see the celebration, its rank and liturgical color, the reading citations, and the days that ask something more of us.

Hodie’s December 2026 month calendar, with the selected day’s celebration and the ranks explained beneath the grid.
See the month. Open any day.

Two calendars. One thoughtful app.

The current Roman calendar

The calendar of the reformed Roman liturgy (Novus Ordo), with the United States calendar, local holy day settings, and the seasons from Advent to Ordinary Time.

Calendar complete

The 1962 calendar

The calendar of the 1962 Roman Missal, for the Traditional Latin Mass. Its own seasons, classes, vigils, and commemorations, with a simple switch in Settings.

Calendar complete

Choose your calendar. Hodie keeps each one clearly named. Holy day obligations and fasting follow current law in both.

A few things you may be wondering

02 A simpler kind of app

Room for what
matters.

Prayer needs your attention.
Your app shouldn’t ask for it.

Hodie is free, with no subscriptions, paywalls, advertising, or analytics. The calendar lives on your iPhone and works without an internet connection.

Careful typography. A calm dark mode. Text that grows with you. Every detail serves the day.

Our approach to privacy

03 Taking shape, day by day

A beginning.
And a little further.

Hodie is in active development. The calendars are complete. The saints come next. The goal is a complete app by Christmas 2026.

  1. Complete

    The calendars

The current Roman calendar and the 1962 calendar, with Today, month and year views, reading citations, and widgets.

  2. Up next

    The saints

A place to discover the saints on the calendar, find their feast days, and keep your patrons close.

  3. The goal

    Christmas 2026

A fuller companion for Catholic life and prayer. This is our development goal; a public release date is not yet confirmed.

iPhone first · iOS 26 or later · More Apple devices and the web to follow

A few details

Good to know.

Can I download Hodie yet?

Hodie is still in development and is not yet publicly available on the App Store. We’ll put the download link here when it is ready. Christmas 2026 is the development goal, rather than a confirmed release date.

Will Hodie really be free?

Yes. No subscriptions, premium features, paywalls, ads, or tracking. Hodie is being built as a gift.

Which calendar does it follow?

You can choose the current Roman calendar with the United States proper calendar, or the calendar of the 1962 Roman Missal. The current calendar is the default. Hodie is not a replacement for your parish’s local calendar or guidance.

Does it include the full texts of the Mass?

The completed calendars show reading citations. Full liturgical texts are a separate part of development and will appear only where the necessary rights and permissions are in place.

What about iPad, Apple Watch, or Android?

iPhone is the first focus. Dedicated iPad, Apple Watch, Mac, and web experiences are planned to follow. A native Android app is not currently planned.

Until then

We’re glad you’re here.
